Making an Impact: PWD's Green City, Clean Waters Plan
The Philadelphia Water Department's nationally acclaimed Green City, Clean Waters plan focuses on enhancing stormwater management capacity through green infrastructure improvements that capture and store rainfall before it enters the sewer system. PWD is working with a variety of organizations and agencies to advance the plan's innovative recommendations.

Making an Impact: SEPTA and the Federal Stimulus Program
The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act offered a one-time infusion of capital for transit agencies around the United States, including in Greater Philadelphia. SEPTA made effective use of $191 million in ARRA funds, advancing 33 capital improvement projects that had been long-deferred due to a lack of funding.
